I've been playing Phantasy Star Universe on and off since it launched 2 years ago. It's one of the few MMOs that I've stuck with. It's simple, and can be played with a controller which gives it a more casual feeling, which I enjoy. Anyways... onto the topic of this post!
 I attended a small event in Phantasy Star Universe on October 30th. One of the Game Masters, Chillaura, announced that he was stepping down, so some players decided to hold a little gathering for him in the club after reading the news. |

Arrived home from a fun week in Massachusetts to another item for my collection, so I decided now was a good time to be a big show-off and post some of my favorite video game swag. Sorry if the pics aren't great, it's night time here so I'm just using the flash on my camera.
 NIS America held this 'Girls Gone Towel' contest on various gaming sites to hype up the release of Ar Tonelico 2. The prize is a bath towel with printed artwork of Cloche and Luca... in bath towels! I read Siliconera a lot, which was one of the sites offering the contest, so I said 'why not' and entered, and to my surprise I ended up being one of the 100 random winners. This post is gonna be a long one... That's what I get for not posting about these things as they happen, haha. Anyways, lemme just get started and talk about some of the stuff that's happened on Phantasy Star Universe since my last post about it.
 The Mission Carnival has come and gone. For real this time, bwaha. It was a great time to get back into the game, because EXP and items were plentiful. I was level 93 when the event started, and ended up at level 106 by the end. Not bad at all, for me at least, cuz I didn't play as much as I could have. Didn't wanna burn myself out. |
 So much has happened in Phantasy Star Universe lately... but I'm really slow with posting about it. Shred the Darkness just ended, and I never posted about it all while it was up. It was pretty fun though. I guess I'll try to recap it later. Right now lets cover some recent happenings. Yesterday the Phantasy Star Portable day (posted about that here) prizes were doled out, so people who participated in that event can find some freebies in their common box. First up is the hilarious and possibly most annoying weapon ever, the Real Handgun+. It's an A rank handgun. Every time you fire a sound clip saying 'Come on!' goes off. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I wonder how many people will get kicked from random parties for using this thing. =P |
 Just kidding! I'm just being overdramatic about hitting the level cap for the first time ever. It's 160 right now. Seeing that 'EXP Full' thing is so weird! Guess I should start grinding up the rest of my crew... My second highest character is only level 76, and my other two are 45 and 47. Welp, more on my other PSU shenanigans later. See yas! |
 And happy belated post! I meant to report this event after it happened... way back on July 10th. The rewards for the day were sent out today, which reminded me to come here and post this, bwahaha. They are the Birthday Candelle and NiGHTS statue room decorations. Anyways, Sonic and Tails stopped by PSU again to celebrate his 18th birthday. They were a little late as Sonic's birthday is really on June 23rd, but I'm in no position to complain here. =P Unlike the Phantasy Star Portable event which I went to multiple times, I only participated in this one once, but I got some nice shots and a text log to share. |
 So with Friday's update Moatoob GBR is finally over. I didn't hate it or anything but it really could have stood to last one less week. The fact that Citadel of Sand was supposed to be there for it probably hurt a bit too, cuz just four missions over and over got old fast. We went back to playing random stuff for that last week, since we'd already gotten our fill of GBR runs. >> Anywho, time for a run down and random screen caps of the new missions and other shenanigans. |
