Arrived home from a fun week in Massachusetts to another item for my collection, so I decided now was a good time to be a big show-off and post some of my favorite video game swag. Sorry if the pics aren't great, it's night time here so I'm just using the flash on my camera.
![]() NIS America held this 'Girls Gone Towel' contest on various gaming sites to hype up the release of Ar Tonelico 2. The prize is a bath towel with printed artwork of Cloche and Luca... in bath towels! I read Siliconera a lot, which was one of the sites offering the contest, so I said 'why not' and entered, and to my surprise I ended up being one of the 100 random winners. Read on for more pics of the towel, and some of my past swag. |
![]() Now don't expect me to post upcoming figure news too often. I mostly only want to post about things I already own. I'll make exceptions for stuff like this though, since I love Pangya and other Pangya fans are curious about it. Lucia is finally getting her own PVC figure. About time, eh? I'm honestly surprised that one wasn't released earlier. So here's the run-down. She is sculpted by Melting Neuron, who has made a few other sculpts which have gotten released as completed PVC figures or kits in the past. She is 1/7th scale and 13cm tall, and will be released sometime in Autumn of this year for a whopping 7,980 yen as an AmiAmi online shop exclusive. She was also on display at this year's Wonder Festival alongside an alternate color version which you can see at AmiAmi's blog over here. The alternate color version is a Hobby Japan mail order exclusive. Just my luck... I happen to like that color scheme better. XD Anyways, that's all the information for now. Preorders haven't opened yet, but when they do I'll make another post to let people know how to buy her. Laters! Scan from the Hobby Japan September 2009 issue. |
![]() I've finally decided to play Pangya every morning like I used to. I was really happy about the game getting a new lease on life. Despite the problems with the old publisher's version, I played very heavily right before it went under and burned myself out really bad. Ntreev USA is having its fair share of problems too, but it's good to be back regularly. Guess I just needed a break. Anyways, today I got to check out Lucia thanks to a friend who purchased her, and messed around with the new dance animation in a Lost Seaway lounge. Read on to check it out. |

Oh hey, I'm not dead! This is a follow up to that first post I made about the Lucia figure. Preorders have been open for a few days now, and to my surprise she is not exclusive to the AmiAmi online store. Good, cuz now I don't have to link to a ton of different proxy buying services. Anyways, you may preorder now at HobbyLink Japan (SAL or EMS shipping) and Hobby Search (EMS only). Ships sometime in November so there's plenty of time to save up. The AmiAmi blog also made another post with more shots of the figure, including the illustration that it's based on. Pretty nice!
As for the Hobby Japan exclusive variant, sadly I haven't seen any information on what issue will contain the mail order card, or if it will also be available on their online shop. I recommend keeping your eyes on it and Tokyo Hunter's blog, as he takes preorders on Hobby Japan exclusives pretty often. Laters! |
![]() It looks like I'm the only one left to blog about Pangya |
![]() Finally Pangya USA receives a proper cash lotto system. Unlike scratchy cards which are 'free' with any 1,000 point transaction, and have a strange 3 item line-up, the gacha system lets you buy coins directly and the line-up is one item which you may receive for any character. It's basically how the scratchy card system should have started in the first place. Everyone gets a free coin upon logging in, so give it a try. I got a Duostar SS, lol. Useless! |
![]() Oh boy, another distraction! The next post will be about Phantasy Star 0, I swear! Anywho, Pangya got another substantial update today. Figured things would be low key after the Gacha implementation, but I guessed wrong. The Ventus mission event has started and will last until September 30th. Read on to find out how it works. |
