 I've wanted to draw this ever since I first fought Cynthia. XD Her dramatic music and speech just made me think of a scene like this, haha. I'll have to redo it in another program though, because my browser started lagging really badly. Ah well, better than going nuts trying to finish it there. Here's some random rambling about my Pokemon Diamond game. When I first reached the battle tower, I just fought in multi battles with the NPCs. Now I'm trying to seriously proceed in the single battle category instead, since my second party is pretty good, at least in my opinion.

First off... lemme start this post by saying sorry that I haven't updated in awhile! I don't know why I'm apologizing though, it's my blog and I can post whenever I want to! But seriously, haha, I'll try to update more regularly here.
 I got the second Pokemon Ranger game, Shadows of Almia, a few days ago. Managed to win it in an eBay auction for just $20, and the game was unregistered, so I got Club Nintendo points too! I've only played the game for a little over two hours and sadly I feel as if I've seen all it has to offer. XD It's really cute, but it's way too easy, and the gameplay makes my hand hurt because capturing/battling is done by spinning the stylus in circles around your target. It wouldn't be so bad if they mixed up the motions a little... Anyways, I'm not surprised that I'm underwhelmed, cause it's a spinoff and not one of the normal games. Can't compare it to the first Pokemon Ranger game cause I never played that one. But despite all that, there's a reason I wanted to get this game. Especially in these past few days... because I had nearly forgotten about a cool feature this game has: Ranger Net! |

Guess it's about time I take advantage of the fact that FC2 blog allows Niconico Douga embeds... Anyways, I was linked to this awesome Pokemon medley. It's 26 minutes of nicely arranged RGBY+GSC tunes. It made me really nostalgic... ( 'v') and made me remember that I wish Game Freak would make DS remakes of Gold and Silver, haha. Miku and Rin have a small part in it too!

The Shaymin event at Toys R Us (in the United States) has been going on for a few days now... I would've posted about it immediately after I picked mine up, but I've been busy. Anyways, if you're a Pokemon fan in the US who still hasn't checked out the event, hit up a local Toys R US until February 14th and get your own Shaymin through the Mystery Gift function in Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.
 It's just so gosh darned cute. Also comes with a Micle Berry, which should prove useful.  Here's what the Wonder Card for the event looks like. Reverse side. I think this is the first week long giveaway at Toys R Us. Usually they're only a weekend long. Anyways, it was really empty there compared to the past events. Maybe it's cause it started on a Sunday... Even I wasn't too keen on heading out on the first day, haha. Also, the Shaymin movie isn't out in the US yet, so I guess less people know about the event. Anyways, with a longer event period, I'm sure the news spread around through word-of-mouth by now. |

Arrived home from a fun week in Massachusetts to another item for my collection, so I decided now was a good time to be a big show-off and post some of my favorite video game swag. Sorry if the pics aren't great, it's night time here so I'm just using the flash on my camera.
 NIS America held this 'Girls Gone Towel' contest on various gaming sites to hype up the release of Ar Tonelico 2. The prize is a bath towel with printed artwork of Cloche and Luca... in bath towels! I read Siliconera a lot, which was one of the sites offering the contest, so I said 'why not' and entered, and to my surprise I ended up being one of the 100 random winners. The Regigigas event has come and gone. I noted it in my Shaymin post awhile back. It was the longest Toys R Us giveaway yet, lasting from March 8th to the 21st. I rolled on by on the 19th to pick one up for myself, and here it is.
 Wonder Card: Front, Back As the card says, trade it to Platinum and you'll get to check out a new area where you can capture three more legendary Pokemon: Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. Not very exciting for people who already have the trio from Pokemon Emerald... but hey, I'm not one of those people. Also something really funny... you can then trade that Regi trio that you got from Platinum back to your Diamond or Pearl game, and catch another Regigigas at Snowpoint City.  I finally finished Shadows of Almia (afterthoughts on that later) so to kill some boredom while waiting for Platinum to arrive, I've been messing around in the Battle Tower again. To my surprise I came across another player's shiny Wobbuffet (or Sōnansu in Japanese) while playing in the Wi-Fi Battle Tower. Neato! It reminds me that my shiny Gloom has been sitting in my PC box for ages. Poor little guy... =P |
