![]() Hooray! I was expecting Pokemon Platinum to arrive tomorrow because of the projected delivery date for my order, but I get to enjoy it a day earlier. I could have just foregone the waiting completely and picked it up at a store on the 22nd, but it's too late for that. XD Anyways, I'll save my initial impressions for a later post. Right now I'd like to share some pictures of the preorder bonus: a neato mini-figure of Giratina made by Kaiyodo. Read on to check it out. ![]() Unboxing the figure. What's with the wrapper it's inside anyways? Makes it look like it's gonna be candy or something. Tear it open and out comes... ![]() Giratina! Tah-dah~ It's a small figure, but there's so many cool details. Molded smoke is pretty hit or miss with me, but I think they pulled it off really well here. A shame it couldn't have been translucent or something, that'd make it look even cooler. ![]() A look at the back. Looks like a spider crawling out of goo or something... ( '-') ![]() Dialga VS Giratina! Who will reign victorious?! ![]() Sorry Dialga, you aren't big enough. Maybe next time. =P The Dialga figure here is the topper of a stylus you got for preordering Pokemon Diamond. Pearl preorders got a Palkia stylus of course. I was expecting Platinum preorders to get another one of theses styluses, so it was quite a surprise when Nintendo of America announced the Giratina figure. It was also the preorder bonus in Japan. Hopefully other regions will get this cool figure too. ![]() Since I don't have any Pokemon character figures, my Mikuru and Itsuki figmas get to guest-star once again. Don't worry Mikuru, it won't bite. Now excuse me while I go enjoy Pokemon Platinum! It's pretty much just an upgraded version of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, but if either of those games left ya hankering for more, then the upgrades within Platinum are well worth a second trip through the Sinnoh region. ![]() Pokemon Platinum at Play-Asia.com I'll try to post up my afterthoughts on Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia next time, just to get that out of the way. Look forward to some ramblings on Platinum after that. See yas! |
