![]() So much has happened in Phantasy Star Universe lately... but I'm really slow with posting about it. Shred the Darkness just ended, and I never posted about it all while it was up. It was pretty fun though. I guess I'll try to recap it later. Right now lets cover some recent happenings. Yesterday the Phantasy Star Portable day (posted about that here) prizes were doled out, so people who participated in that event can find some freebies in their common box. First up is the hilarious and possibly most annoying weapon ever, the Real Handgun+. It's an A rank handgun. Every time you fire a sound clip saying 'Come on!' goes off. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I wonder how many people will get kicked from random parties for using this thing. =P ![]() Next up is the Moatoob Collectible, which is the planet Moatoob in room decoration form. I have no idea where to put this thing, haha. Amarie's room is full of space ship models, guess it'd be fitting in there... ![]() With the event over that means we're all back to playing random missions (or White Beast for the lame people lol). While running through the Parum missions I saw one of the GH 46x series partner machines for the first time in a battle. I've seen them before in player shops, they are pretty cute. But there's something about them I didn't notice until seeing this one in battle... ![]() They have joints! XD Why does this make me actually want one? Bwahaha. I find it odd that they're the only partner machines with visible joints. Like, the GH 470 has exposed knees but no joints there. Meanwhile the rest are wearing too much clothes to tell. Would be cute if all of them had that. Yeah, I've gone into the deep end here. ![]() After running a few Parum missions we stopped at the Foran Waterfall lobby for awhile. This place is still one of my favorite lobbies. Gotta love those tables. Speaking of lobbies, the Parum Unification lobbies are up now, but I've already got screens of those from the past times they ran it. Don't really feel like digging them out right now though. ![]() After killing time for awhile everybody finally decided to run Bruce's Dungeon on S. I hadn't played this one in ages so I was worried I'd do horribly (if anyone dies or time runs out, the mission ends) but it went extremely well. We got an S rank, which means everybody who was there gets Bruce's partner card. ![]() So with one elusive partner card down, I decided to try again for one that had been bugging me for ages, Tylor's card. I remember failing miserably back when I was in the 80-90 level range all too well. The problem isn't that I get killed or anything, but rather that there's a time limit on the fight that is incredibly short, so you have to dish out damage quickly. Tylor is ice element so you'll want fire, fire and more fire. I used my twin guns with Twin Burn equipped, Sturm Attacker, and Burn Trap Gs and made it just in time. ![]() Okay, I'll stop being a meanie and shake your hand now. ( '-')b The other choice is to try and fight him again but instead he and Laia go off on how you're jealous cause he's suddenly all buddy-buddy with her, WTF lol. ![]() And so my meat-shield army grows. Bruce is pretty nice as he's trigger happy with the healing, and Tylor is just all 'rargh smash'. These two are pretty good if you're gonna play solo and don't feel like using your partner machine. Sadly my favorite NPC is unobtainable, that being Ethan in his Rogue wear. You can only get his normal version which pales in comparison. The Rogue version joins you in one of the earlier story missions and is an absolute monster, lol. But in the end all of their AI is pretty horrible, hence using them as meat-shields. Does high level Foie strike fear into your heart? Then just stand behind an NPC. XD Welp, that's the end of that. Laters! |
